The Austrian Right is represented by the Austrian People’s Party (OVP), and the Far Right by the Freedom Party of Austria (FPO). Founded in Vienna in 1945 by conservative Christian-Socialists, the OVP formed a coalition in the post-World War II government with the Social-Democratic Party of Austria (SPO) and the Austrian Communist Party (KPO).
