Summary
The questionnaire for this new Fondation pour l’innovation politique survey was designed by the Fondation, but the carrying out of the survey and the collection and processing of the data were entrusted to the Dalia Research group, which chose to use electronic means. Between 15 and 29 December 2014, 27,658 people aged between 14 and 39 from the 28 EU Member States were surveyed.
The questionnaire was administered in 15 different languages. Firstly, English was used in the United Kingdom and Ireland, but also in Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Sweden, Dalia Research considering that the high level of English language proficiency in these countries allowed the administration of a questionnaire in this language. A second noteworthy point is that, although Dalia Research ensured that gender, age groups and place of residence were correctly represented, since the questionnaire was administered electronically, the youngest people, and therefore those most likely to use the new technologies, were therefore more represented than the oldest.
People were asked about their perception of Europe, society, their future and that of their country.
This document presents the methodology of the survey.
All the data from the survey are available for free on data.fondapol.org.
